Biography
Shelley started
working in entertainment in 1993 as a dancer for Latin TV, Miami
nightclubs, music videos and live shows with music groups
dancing anything from freestyle house, hip hop and trance to
Latin sounds. She gained valuable professional live stage and
television experience working
for such companies as Univision,
Telemundo,
BMG U.S. Latin and
Polygram Records. Shelley is an All-American girl but
speaks Spanish and has worked extensively in the Latin market.
Shelley knew
that she would need other skills to advance her career so she studied Film
Acting based on the principles of Eric Morris. She also took
private vocal classes in Spanish and English and performed with
local rock bands and on the Univision TV show
Sábado Gigante.
The hard work
paid off in 1997 when Shelley was offered the
principal role in an independent comedy film
“Out of Hand”. The film is scheduled for release by the end of
2004.
The
film in which Shelley starred as the romantic interest was a
comedy turned action. After having a taste of the mental and
physical workout of performing her own fight scenes and stunt
driving Shelley decided action films are for her! Shelley
returned to martial arts training shortly after completing the
film and obtained the rank of black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is
currently training in Kung Fu and has attended workshops for
stunts and staging fights in film. Shelley is searching for an
opportunity to use her martial arts skills in the film industry.
Shelley’s ideal movie? Tomb Raider or The Matrix.
